The Rise of Radicalism:

Radical Politics, Pedagogies & Innovations

2 - 3 May 2024

Peter A. Allard School of Law at the University of British Columbia is proud to invite graduate students from all disciplines to participate in the 25th UBC Interdisciplinary Legal Studies Graduate Conference.

The Conference allows graduate students and junior scholars to showcase their research, discuss ideas, receive feedback on works in progress, and network with peers.

We invite abstracts from any discipline that aligns with the conference theme, The Rise of Radicalism. We encourage participants to interpret the theme broadly. Read our call for abstracts here.

On behalf of the organizing committee and Peter A. Allard School of Law, we look forward to hosting all speakers and participants!

The city of Vancouver is on the unceded, ancestral and occupied traditional lands of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh), and Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) Nations.

We extend our gratitude to the Musqueam, Tsleil-Waututh, and Squamish Nations, upon whose land we gather, learn, and exchange ideas. We recognize the enduring connection these Indigenous communities have to this territory, which precedes the establishment of this conference and the university itself.

UBC’s Point Grey Campus is located on the traditional territory of the Musqueam peoples, who have long inhabited this land. The Musqueam people have passed on their culture, history, and traditions from generation to generation on this site for millennia.
